Short Contemporary Erotica

by Lyndi Lamont

Ashley unlocked the door of a home perched high on a cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean. “This is a great house for entertaining. Or just for relaxing. The owner was transferred out of state and had to move in a hurry. Some of the furnishings were left, since they were custom designed for the home.”

It was the third house of the third afternoon. So far, Dev had been pretty noncommittal about the places she’d shown him. In fact, he’d seemed to pay more attention to her than to the houses. She’d felt his hand on her back more than once in that “guiding” gesture men used as an excuse to touch women. She’d been surprised when he’d asked for her to stay on as his agent, instead of switching back to Ruth when she returned.

She led the way into the great room and gestured toward a large sliding glass door that led out to a redwood deck. “As you can see, it has a great view of the ocean. The deck is a marvelous place to watch the sun set, while sipping a relaxing glass of wine.” She glanced at him. “Or whatever you prefer to drink.”

He opened the door, walked outside to the railing and shielded his eyes. Ashley followed, squinting in the bright light. It was late in the afternoon, and the sun was low in the sky.

“It is a great view.” He turned to her. “Shall we stay to see the sunset?”

She glanced at her watch. “That’s still a couple of hours off.”

He leaned back against the rail. “I’m in no hurry.”

She gazed into his eyes and was startled at the heat there. Nervously, she licked her lips and his gaze dropped to her mouth, then lower to her breasts. Heat crept up her face and she was glad of the cold breeze blowing off the Pacific.

She headed inside. “I think we’d better move on.”

He chuckled, but followed her back inside.

She led the way into the kitchen. “The kitchen is quite large and has a nice view also.”

She ran a hand over the top of the large island in the middle of the room. “It was remodeled recently, with granite counter tops.”

She shivered as he moved to stand behind her, one hand on the marble next to hers. His other hand rested briefly on her shoulder before gliding down her arm to the counter. He had her effectively trapped. Her heart went into overdrive.

“It looks pretty sturdy,” he murmured in her ear. “Do you think it would take our weight?”

She spun to stare into his eyes. Big mistake. Her own wildest desires were reflected on his face. “What are you talking about?”

He trailed his fingers up her arm, triggering a shivering sensation. “I was just wondering if we could make love on it.”

“Are you crazy? Here?”

His mouth hovered over hers. “Why not? We’re alone.”

“But another agent could stop by with a client at any time,” she stammered, her heart pounding, sending heated blood surging through her.

“That just makes it more exciting. Relax…we’ll hear if another car approaches.”
